SharanTDICarat Posted April 8, 2005 Report Posted April 8, 2005 I know what your thinking... why is this in the Customising section ?? well I have just got my renewal in and it has gone up quite alot renewal is coming in at GBP 881.00 "because of my mod's" ( which are only wheels and window tints.)So I have been phoning around and I seem to be getting the cold sholder from the main insurance companies. So to any of you guy with modded Sharan's Galaxys & Alhambras, can you recomend a good insurance company. cheersTAM Quote
Guest vr6galaxy Posted April 8, 2005 Report Posted April 8, 2005 We used confused.com fill in one form and they did all the rest, I declared ALL the mods! alloys, tinted glass, suspension, LPG, DVD, CD exhaust............. a few firms wouldnt touch us mainly due to the points on our licenses but a few would, in the end we went with Diamond :o well after all it is HER car  Quote
Ivor_E_Tower Posted April 8, 2005 Report Posted April 8, 2005 Have you tried Sainsburys (e-sure) or Tesco insurance? Quote

Guest vr6galaxy Posted April 8, 2005 Report Posted April 8, 2005 Mine is 30% so I ticked the <30% box  Quote
SharanTDICarat Posted April 8, 2005 Author Report Posted April 8, 2005 Mine is 30% so I ticked the <30% box  They look awfully darker than 30% my fronts have a 25% film added and a 50% film added to the rear, which is not that dark, and no where near as dark as some of the boy racers I've seen. But it is the rears that seem to be causing the probs , personally I don't think they (Ins) now what they are doing when it come to this.TAM Quote
Guest vr6galaxy Posted April 8, 2005 Report Posted April 8, 2005 They look awfully darker than 30% Mine are only UV reflective on the front two and darkened on the rear five, mine were done just before the regs changed so the installer would only tint to the new incomeing regs so as not cause any problems in the future! mind you the way they are going it will soon be against the law to fart in the privacey of your own car yet alone alter it in any way  Quote
